Portia Graves is a music composer for stage and screen. Her career began in 2011 when she teamed up with Woodwork Music and RAW Productions, which resulted in her first commission, composing music for an FA CUP campaign. Since then, she has continued to score for films, documentaries and managed to secure her first TV placement for the 2014 Santander commercial, which she co-composed and performed with David Lowe. She has also branched out and explored various other pathways, composing for live performance, art installations and dance, naturally guiding her to Daisy Farris Dance Collective.
Portia has been collaborating with DFDC since the company was established in 2013. She composed for Daisy’s first two choreographic works- Silence the song in them… and Learning to see. Most recently Portia wrote an atmospheric score for The Great Thames Disaster, which captured the story perfectly.
